Elf Mania!!!!!!!!!

Each we have a group of "FAMILY FRIENDS" and we do the 12 days of Christmas for a family that we have thought and prayed about. We involve the kids and have a wonderful time doing it. Each of us have been blessed in many ways and the spirit of Christmas is truly felt. I adore my friends and am grateful they put up with me! I love ya guys.
Greg, what are you doing? Jake and Katie...that's not a funny face. Diego, I think I see a cavity. Megan we can only see your legs.

Christmas Eve In Tucson

Loooooooong night at the McCown's. Yes, after dinner and our Twas the Night Before Chritmas game, this is what happens when everyone is filled up on sugar. Rich, Lisa and the kids came as well as Mark and Michelle and Mom and Dad, and of course Scott flew in for the big party. Sure love our family.
Uncle Richard is trying to teach Joshua the fine art of taking a picture.
Mark didn't have the words to explain his gift. Hmmmmmm, I wonder if there is a baby in the future! Yep, perfect for his nephew Joshua.
Dad, isn't quite sure what to think of his fun gift? Candy Canes.
Ok, so here is a nice family picture. We can look normal every now and then.

Lomeli's in Phoenix

We headed to Uncle Ron and Aunt Sara's house for a Lomeli Christmas party. Had tons to eat and played our fun game Twas the Night Before Christmas. It's a tradition we started many many years ago. Then came the family pics. I have to say that they put up with me and my picture taking. Thanks everyone, especially Jeremy...He loves his Mit Poo!
Then came the fun picture. Man, Lomeli's can sure take a great picture. I'm not sure what Great Grandma Lomeli is thinking.
Yes, Matt was very patient with all the kids! Isn't he a great Uncle. We love ya! Isn't Amanda so cute. Her big brother Cody doesn't know what to do.
Isn't Kalie so cute in her pretty dress.
Jeremy is soooo excited for the game, he can't quite contain himself. He is trying to tell Hunter how to WIN the game.

Gingerbread House Showdown....

A friendly competition of who can make the best gingerbread house. For FHE we finally used the kits. Thanks to Debbie and Aunt Pat... The kids had a great time, I had to keep reminding them that the candy is pretty old. They didn't care and would still sneak them.

Young Women in Excellence....2007

Our theme for this YW program was "Pageant of Values." Way fun. Everyone was a winner..a 17 way tie. We have the best bunch of girls.

Crafty is finally complete.....

Ok, well things have been crafty at this house. Our YW made these for all our YW, so I decided to make some for my girls and nieces. I think they turned out wonderful.
I loved how these two turned out.

Thanks to my sis-n-law Lisa, I get to have this up all year long. I think i'll have to steal this idea!
I had to share this. Here in AZ we have these kind of snowmans, don't ya love them. She used up the last of here pumpkins....How adoreable!

TURKEY DAY. . . . .

Couldn't find a normal picture with everyone smiling, not crying and eyes open. So I picked this one. Family gatherings aren't complete with playing Scum and 42!
Chef Megan making homemade rolls. She will be my future chef. Megan would prefer to watch Food TV than cartoons.
Jessica joined and made 3 dozen rolls.
Josh was awake and ready to eat...Can't you tell.

Priesthood Preview...Can't believe he is almost 12

Dad said that he won't be taller than him. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
My little boy. He doesn't like it when I say that. Yes, he WILL be taller than me, for sure by his 12th birthday.
We had his priesthood preview on Sunday. Went great and really felt the spirit. He is really excited about the scout campouts. My little man is growing...He wonders when he can drive.

Grandpa turns 66 ! ! !

Wow....it's great having grandpa and grandma live next door. Happy Birthday Dad. We love ya. The kids had to help eat the goodies. Josh was fast asleep.

My First Overnight Campout

Finally able to have an overnight campout! Our 11 year old scouters and dads went up to Mt. Lemmon. Nice and cool. I know, it's hard to imagine cold here in Tucson. In the 40's, well that is cold for us. I can't believe how big he is getting. He is such a great son.
Oh, that's how you do it!
Finally, my turn. I can do some serious damage with this.
Well, it was hike time and everyone thought THEIR compass was right.

Halloween Is Over............

We came home with more candy than we handed out. Went Trunk or Treating and were done in under an hour. AHHHHH, can't pass that up. We don't live around too many houses, at least within walking distance. Soooo, this is the best choice for us. Also we get done quicker. Josh was a monkey and slept most of the evening. I bought his costume a few weeks ago and well by the time he wore it, he couldn't stretch his legs...Poor boy. Brandon was dressed in camouflage, Megan a medival princess and Jessica a pirate. Megan wanted to get dressed as soon as we got home from school...I wonder how long the candy will last...I'm sure the kids will forget and I'll throw it out in a few weeks. Sure hope that happens.

Attack of the Blue Pencilfish!!!!!!!!!

Had a great time in Rocky Point! Sun, ocean and soda. What more do you need. The kids had a great time. Saw tons of sea creatures. The blue pencilfish was the highlight. Saw tons of crabs, sea cucumbers, octopus and even got some clams. The men went spear fishing and were nice and didn't kill any stingrays. Caught some rays and went kayaking. Church was great. They had their primary program. All the children were dressed in white. Way cool. Joshua had his first oreo, as you can tell he loved it.
