2nd Class Finally..

For the last year Brandon has been working on his Tenderfoot, 1st Class and 2nd Class ranking in Boy Scouts. He has had a wonderful leader that has helped him achieve it, Brother Black... Thanks to him and Brandon he is all ready to get moving on his merit badges in a couple of weeks at Scout Camp. I told him to not poke me with the pin.

My Little Boy Turned 12

I can't believe my little boy is 12. It's amazing how fast he has grown. He amazes me each day and is one of the most thoughtful boys I know. He is quick to say Thank You, loves to laugh, wants to play "Scum" all the time and thinks of others before himself. It was a wonderful experience to see him surrounded by those who love him and listedn to the blessing after he recieved the priesthood. Our family is bessed to now have two priesthood holders in our home. He is an amazing son. He is just like his dad. We wanted him to have a 12th birthday to remember. So Greg took him and some friends paintballing and then headed to the pool to cool off. The girls said that we celebrated his birthday for a week.

Mommy Day

My day started WONDERFUL...Greg go up with Joshua at 6 a.m. Slept in, had breakfast in bed and then went back to sleep. Can you believe it? Went to church. Came home and made lunch for my mom and Greg's. We had Lisa and the kids over . Had yummy ribs, mashed potatoes, caesar salad and ice cream sundaes. Great day! I have wonderful kids and awesome mom's. What else could you ask for.

Stingray, Sunburns and Sand

We spent a fun filled four days in Rocky Point. The Webb and Power family took the adventure with us. We soaked up the sun, a few of us got some funky burns! You know who you are. Saw stingrays, very close to shore. Played lots of games and Chris LOVED it. Ate pistachios, beef jerkey, soda and more soda. Kim introduced red vines to Joshua and he is hooked. Here is the group minus Joshua, he needed a nap. Remember EVERYONE (LAURA), what happens in Mexico...never ever leaves Mexico..

Pima County Fair 2008

This was our first time to the Fair. The kids had a blast. We went with the Power and Stockman families. We saw many families including the Nelson family. Mom and Dad left early...they were checking out the cooking show. I had a navajo taco..haven't had one of those in years. Of course, carmel apple, funnel cake and cotton candy...I'm going to have to really work all that off tomorrow. Oh, yeah and Kim introduced me to grilled corn. Never had it...with some salt, pepper and garlic powder..yum yum.

The girls remember seeing Greg ride an elephant when he was young...Sooooo what a opportunity...Megan, Bailey and Jessica had a nice ride until...the elephant needed to use the restroom..pretty sticky
All the kids rode this a couple of times...It turned out they had a huge race....Joshua was cheering them on...Maybe next year...
Roy told Megan how brave she was to ride the swings...She kinda freaked out but later recovered and rode even crazier rides...go figure
I took the girls on the roller coaster....Jessica decided she didn't want to ride it again...Megan and Bailey rode it another 5 or 6 times later that night

Happy Birthday Kara....Finally 25!

We HAD to celebrate Kara's birthday...yeah. This is our YW presidnecy....Yeah, we rock...Sue's husband calls us the "The Dream Team!" We work great together and truly love our girls. We love to have fun and look for any opportunity to have a girls night out. Kara LOVES anything Betty Boop...
One of her favorite places to eat is TGIF's. Here we are: Me, Debbie, Laura, Melissa (Sue's Daughter), Sue, Kara, Lauren and Heather.
Then of course the night is young. Cosmic bowling here we come.
The winner is Sue! We nicknamed Lauren, Striker... She said she wasn't much of a player and well..the first time a strike. Hey, I was happy I scored higher than a 60.

Laurel Retreat

For our graduating seniors we wanted to do something fun. So we planned a trip to Mesa. Yeah... Went swimming, ate junk food, went to see the some awesome pictures at the Mesa temple, watched Leslie perfom at her Color Guard competition and then headed to Castles and Coasters. Yeah, Sue and I are old and we were tired. Oh, yeah we did some shopping. These girls kept us young. We have eight girls but only these four were able to make it. We missed Kimmy, Kristina, Simone and Aimee. We'll get them next time. So her are a few pics. Gotta love our girls.
