Sweet baby BOY!!!!

I know, I know the cutest baby boy has been born. Nope, I'm not lying. Jacob Gregory is THE cutest Jacob on earth.. Enough said about that. We were scheduled to have a c-section on Feb 3rd, but true to McCown tradition, they like to come early. Water broke and we headed to the hospital late Saturday night. Mom and Kim came along for the ride and dad drove down from Mesa. Around 2 am our little cutie came to us. I still thought a girl, but nope, a boy was needed in our family. Had a c-section, first and only one. They also took out a cyst about the size of a football then onto a hysterectomy. Yeah...Fun...So it's been five fun days. Kids adore him, he's held all day and wishes for that at night. Some adjusting for Josh! Oh, he weighed 6 lbs 12.2 ounces and 19 inches and lots of dark hair. Mom and Kim stayed the nights with me to help out with Jacob, thanks guys!

Greg wasn't able to come in while they did the c-section and I was put completely out. I was sad for Greg, he looked worried. So I sent him to hang out with Mom and Kim. They met our little boy in the nursery and Greg did what Greg does, pulled out his camera and took over 300 pictures. One of the nurses said later that there was paparazzi in the nurery. He did take a bunch of great ones. So life will be a bit crazy and exctiting. Thanks to all my friends and family for all the visits, food and desserts. Way yumo!

Megan can tolerate pain, but I think she freaked herself out before we even started. Jess was a great big sister to offer her some comfort. Too cute. In the end all went well, didn't pass out or go white. Now she is ready for some dangling earrings....

Yum Yum...Manicotti

This doesn't look EXACTLY like hers, http://mykitchencafe.blogspot.com/2009/09/best-baked-manicotti.html, but the family liked it. I changed a few things but it's way easy and very yummy. She has some delicious soups too.

Goals for a 13 year old!

For FHE one night Greg wanted us to set some goals as a family and individually. One of Brandon's goals is to attend the temple monthly. WOW! We were impressed, so after some negotiating we decided on quarterly for sure and if we could fit more in we would. He invited a friend, Taeylor and we flew to Mesa and dropped off the little ones and raced to the temple. We made it just in time! Boys had a good time and loved the steak dinner after! Gotta love the boys.

Nine is Fine!!!!!!!

Our sweet little Megan turned 9. She said all day that it has been the bestest day EVER. I sure hope so. Dad met her for lunch with Eegees, yep that's her favorite and popsicles for her class. Dinner at Sweet Tomatoes and gifts. She loved her earrings and jewlery box. She is easy to please this year. I felt guilty with no cake and candles, so we finished up her birthday celebration tonight. Strawberry Cake, can you believe she doesn't like chocolate....Happy Birthday to my beautiful, loveable, cute, exciting, helpful girl..

He came and Went!

Finally got them together and wanted to share a few! Slept in till around 8 and loved it. Megan was up and by the door very early, Josh was still sleeping, so I sent her back to her bed! Kids went crazy. Josh saw the hoola hoop and just knew it was his, wrong Megans. So his dreams were crused until he found his cars. Mom and Dad joined us! Our usual breakfast followed: fried potatoes, eggs, bacon, refried beans (YES), toast, juice and waffles...Ate till our tummies were full and played on the WII and took a nap...What more could you ask for!
